There was a chick. The end.

There was a chick. The end.

There was a chick. The end.

The painting is inspired by and in great tribute to the brave activists of Meat The Victims IL who entered the inferno - a factory that shreds chicks in the broiler industry (chicks intended for chicken meat) - in a heroic act aimed at encouraging an end to this diabolical and horrific practice and to encourage an end to the consumption of animal products.

Thank you for the 35 chicks you saved - which is 35 lives.

Every day in Israel, 30,000 small, delicate, tender chicks are slaughtered. Every day. Do a quick calculation - how much is that per month? How much is that per year? How much is that worldwide?

What does it say about us as a society if we take the life of a tender chick and shred it or suffocate it in giant tanks? And the world is silent. And worse - we are silent.

Is it possible otherwise?

The painting will participate in the "Beginnings" exhibition at the Ben Ami Gallery in Tel Aviv from January 5th until the end of the month. You are invited to come and be impressed.
